Pillow Talk

We think jet-setting is sweet – but we do get a teensy bit sour when we miss our beauty sleep and arrive at our destination puffy-eyed and haggard. (It’s bad enough that we’re no longer allowed to bring our spring water atomizer on board to keep our skin hydrated!) So we’ve searched the globe for the best in travel pillows. Here are the ones we think are the sweetest:

Makes Scents
For the eco-chic gal-about-the-globe, it has an organic cotton waffle-weave cover and bits of soothing eucalyptus in the recycled memory foam filling, to help make all our dreams smell as sweet as we are.
The Happy Company Down to Earth Travel Pillow, US $22. Available at www.thehappycompany.com

Pocket Pal
We don’t just adore this pillow because it comes with a blanket and is available in hot pink; we also love that the blanket has a pocket designed for our iPod, Blackberry – or lip gloss and compact, in case we need to make an emergency touch up when Mr. Right grabs the next seat over. Dreamy!
Lug Snuz Sac U-Blanket + Pillow Set, $26. Available at shop.mortimersnodgrass.com

Flight Light
Let’s face it – no matter how smooth the flight or comfy the pillow, sometimes we just can’t sleep. Which is why we’re dreaming of this U-shaped pillow with a reading light – rated for 50,000 hours – built right in. That’s enough light to get us all the way to the happy ending!
Brentwood Moshi Travel Pillow with Reading Light, US $15. Available at www.amazon.com

Cashmere Couture
Yes, it’s a major splurge – but what could we go wrong with a luxe cashmere blanket with a carrying case that’s a perfect fit for a standard plane pillow? We can’t imagine a circumstance that wouldn’t be improved by curling up with one of these – not even endless delays, a shortage of in-flight wine, or major turbulence. Nighty night!
