If travel calories didn’t count, we’d be eternal jetsetters. Unfortunately our metabolism can’t differentiate home from Timbuktu, so we’re packing SlimTree to keep our body in balance.
Registration is free for this online exercise resource, and it grants us access to more than 100 exercise programs including: yoga, pilates, aerobics, dance, weight training, cardiovascular conditioning and martial arts. For free online streaming, all we need is Internet access, water and the will to work out.
No Internet? No problem. For a small fee (US$1.49 per 10- or 20-minute video) all programs are available for download, so we can fill up our laptop's hard drive, cellphone or PDA (that run Windows Media Platform) and work on our fitness deep in the Serengeti.
Trekking from the beach chair to the pool bar is exercise in itself, but we’ll feel less guilty by fitting in some Cardio Kickboxing or channeling our inner Private Benjamin and trying Military Style Extreme Cardio. And after a long day of business meetings we can stress decompress with the 10-minute Yoga Meditation program or sweat it off with Cardio Jazz Dance.
We can also calculate our BMI, log/track weight loss, document our work in an exercise journal and take advantage of a variety of diet and fitness articles. Before we bite into a delicious burger at the airport, we’ll be sure to check their fast food calorie counter. (One less burger could mean a few more cervezas when we land…)
