Puddle jumping in our new stilettos is very Carrie in the city, but not practical for Vancouverites. (The novelty gets washed away in a hurry). That’s why we’ve kicked off our pumps and pulled on some very haute couture gumboots courtesy of GumDrops Boutique.
The Gore-Tctive Imageex practicality turned pretty when we tried on the Canadiana country gumboot in black ($55). (What’s even better is that these hipster cowboy boot look-a-likes are a one-of-a-kind.)
And to satisfy our star personalities, Shanda (the brilliant proprietress behind the concept) even ordered a selection of rocker inspired soles. We were singing the praises of the baby-blue boots with a skull head, guitar and a thorny rose engraved across the surface ($95). Choosing between those and the rock glam black and red musical notes ($95) was a decision we didn’t want to have to make.
As for our Carrie channeling… we went for the Capelli Urban Posh ($55) series with colourful pink, green and mauve stripes.
Who said you can’t have fun in the rain?
