We're not the demanding type. In fact, any requests made without the use of please make us seriously uncomfortable (you can thank our Moms for that).
So when we stumbled into Do My Hair, a new midtown blow dry salon, we were as polite as possible. We nicely asked for the 30-minute wash and style ($32) and our pampering began.
Starting with a thorough product recommendation, our stylist got to work. After a quick wash and condition (complete with head massage), it was time to pick a style. We debated between the Jennifer (an Aniston-like straight ‘do) and the Glamazon (lots of body and big loose curls) and ended up choosing Me But Better; the way we like it, but done by a pro.
And hair isn't the only thing they know. Do My Makeup offers an extensive list of applications, including the (perfect-for-the-office) Executive ($40) and Celeb Style ($80) for a big night out. From hair to makeup, there's no situation that these experts can't handle – including the weather. If it happens to rain, you and your new look will be escorted to your car under a DMH umbrella.
