Yoga to Go

(Jul.20.07)
There’s nothing like that feeling of openness that comes with yoga in the park. Too bad it also ups the stress of outfit planning. (As our mother says: “You never know who you are going to see.”)
We felt relief as we walked into Montreal’s newest lifestyle and yoga clothing store, CharlieSattva, Yoga-à-Porter. Owner and designer Caroline Frenette has used her creativity and experience to introduce a fashionable and functional collection promoting sattva – harmony and balance.
Caroline’s passion and understanding were evident as she explained the variety of stylish cuts that show off the assets of almost any body type. Our favourite, the Andrew Cut partner), is based on the practical lines of a man’s pant, with a delightfully feminine result.
We love that the eco-friendly, Canadian-made line has done away with traditional number sizing in favour of the more positive self-image scale of Xtremely Splendid, Sensational, Magnificent, Luscious and Xtremely Luscious. Everywhere we looked we found must-haves, from vibrant tops ($45-60) to funky bottoms ($70-95), including hemp pants and stretch linen pants (yes, we said linen).
We can’t wait for our next park session.
