It's Earth Day! To celebrate, we're giving Mother Nature a gift - we're shopping eco-friendly. (OK, so maybe it's more a present for ourselves.)

Green is Black is our one-stop shop for all things socially conscious; everything in the store, from fashion to home decor, is made from reclaimed or sustainable material. (Open since January, we attribute our delayed discovery to the Yonge strip locale - somewhere between the Brass Rail and $5 Canada t-shirts...)
We start our Earth Day fiesta with a head-to-toe makeover: A super soft Loomstate tee ($76), Del Forte Denim Marina trouser jeans ($188) and a pair of vegan Charmone shoes (tragically, the on-sale silver pumps, made from antique Italian fabric, were sold out in our size).
And no do-good experience would be replete without a touch of Bono - we eyed a few Edun pieces on the sale rack (that will disappear before the rainforest). Other labels to look out for: Thieves, Elroy and Handcut by Preloved.
Next we dress up our home with reclaimed wood pieces from , and vintage bowling pins, reworked as tea light holders ($75).
We're looking (and feeling) so good, we might live every day like it's Earth Day.
