As much as we love the old school cafés and churrasquerias on Dundas, west of Bathurst, we’re equally thrilled about the crop of new boutiques and galleries emerging.
Our newest fave, gallery One 800, recently opened by acclaimed fashion and commercial photographer George Whiteside and his nephew, emerging photo-based artist Harley Valentine.
The gallery features rotating shows by Whiteside and Valentine, along with other local talents such as Bruno Billio and Commute Home, plus a small lounge with art books planned for the sun-filled, front windows. (Sweet tip: Follow their blog for an insightful look on what’s coming up and the artists involved.)
