Gone Broke

broken english jewelleryVancouver (May.25.10)

It’s true of relationships, and it’s true of daily routines: if it ain’t broke, why fix it?

The only thing this maxim doesn’t apply to? Having more Broken English, a unisex jewellery line from husband-and-wife design duo Rex Lavado and Lindsay Rankin, in our possession.

Handmade using sterling sliver, bronze and 18K gold metals and accents, a sturdy charm like the Sawed Off Shotgun ($195) is macho enough for him and the Sterling Silver Comb ($116) is cute enough for her, while the Paper Airplane ($65) is ambiguous enough to hang from anyone’s neck.

This is one fix we’ll gladly make.
