They often say west is best, and with Wow Interiors recently closing its Pender Street doors in the east for a move to 4th Avenue, that just may be true now.
At the Kits location, there’s plenty of easy parking, elbowroom and inspiring décor vignettes set up by husband-and-wife owners Richard and Kristin McLeod.
Midcentury modern teak furniture – like from late Dane designers Børge Mogensen and Hans Wegner – shares the showroom with a stunning Brown Jordan brushed stainless steel and glass dining table, a steal at $5,500 (price tags are at $22,000 elsewhere). The classic ‘60s Tulip chair ($795) by Finnish-American product designer Eero Saarinen is another superb deal, down three times in cost at the new shop.
