We all love a good comeback story—especially when it has to do with a neighbourhood (think Yaletown and Gastown) and fashion (um, bellbottoms and jumpsuits?).
That’s why we were so glad to discover Avril Tait’s eponymous Tait Boutique.
The mastermind behind the old Libertine and, more recently, Main Street’s Scout and Valley of the Dolls boutiques, this store opened earlier this year and has become every trend setter’s secret.
Here’s why: the selection is trendy, girly, but still ultra affordable, with sweetheart-neckline strapless dresses by local label Ric Yuen ($160), silk tanks and ultra-cute tops by Trinity or Esley (from $55), Wax denim ($89), and earrings, bow necklaces and feather headbands by Vancouver’s A Farmer’s Daughter (from $22).
What a comeback kid.
