Carnations, ferns and babies breath. Trying to mask the horror when on the receiving end of such a floral atrocity is often too much to bear. 
While we’re not sure who propagated the myth of this supposedly coveted bouquet, we offer words of wisdom—the giving of such an uninspired arrangement will quickly flag you as persona non grata. Step in Blue Hydrangea, a floral design shop in the heart of Inglewood worthy of our modern tastes and flair for the dramatic.
The mundane is simply not allowed here, and arrangements are only limited by imagination (and the depth of your chequebook, with prices fitting any budget). We didn’t find any dreaded carnations in the cooler, but rather a selection of contemporary and exotic fare, including callas, orchids, various unusual foliage, and even the luxe flower after which the store is named.
Can’t find the chocolate cosmos you’re after? A team of designers will bend over lilies to get them for you. Now only if our men would do the same...
