We were walking down the street in our favourite summer dress recently when the unspeakable happened:
We got cold.
Being woefully unprepared for the situation (and the season), we sought refuge in nearby Canopy Blue. And while we immediately felt better inside the chic white-walled boutique, we vowed not to succumb to the racks of (admittedly gorgeous) fall clothes. Denial, after all, is our coping mechanism of choice.
We tentatively put on an ombré Jole sweater ($425) that was as cute as it was comfy. But could we bear to trade in our tank top for it? Maybe if we threw that stunning cobalt blue Graham & Spencer dress ($345) into the deal. And a pair of deep indigo J Brand Cigarette Jeans ($210) suddenly reminded us how much we actually love pants--especially when they're teamed up with a classic grey striped Ella Moss shirt ($75).
By the time we tried on the must-have TOMS Wrap Boots ($130) and check-print Smythe blazer ($595), our precious summer clothes were all but forgotten. Now that we're properly (and prettily) outfitted, we're wishing for long, cool nights to cozy up to.
Bring it on.
