If eyes are the windows to our souls, our glasses are the drapes and curtains that adorn those windows.  

Therefore, we want eyewear that's both original and flattering. At Les Montures, a shop specializing in rare and authentic designer vintage frames, we're bound to find that elusive pair – or three.

The equestrian-themed décor, complete with horseshoes, farm ladders and a drawing of a horse on the wall, proved a quirky backdrop for trying on frames in myriad shapes, sizes and colours. We loved the sophisticated look of Gianfranco Ferré's round tortoiseshell glasses ($220) and marvelled over the intricate detailing on old-school Ray Ban aviators ($300). We're still dreaming about those oversized red-rimmed Lacoste sunglasses ($135).

Window-shopping has taken on a whole new meaning.
