We love reading about the latest beauty trends (and yes, we know that raspberry lips are in for Fall), but when it comes to actually executing them, the effect is more often bathroom disaster than beauty victory.
Thankfully, there’s MikaOlivia.
Makeup artists Karin Mika Shoji and Oribu Olivia Yokota, who have worked on ad campaigns, countless weddings and multiple TV shows, offer everything from makeup application (from $85) and (thank goodness) lessons to airbrush tanning (from $35) and eyelash extensions (from $60) at their studio or, if you prefer, at your home.
The duo has also collaborated with DaVinci, a line of handcrafted brushes, to produce the MikaOlivia by DaVinci collection of Professional Series and Classic Series brushes ($7- 249), perfect for when we try out the looks we learned at home.
It was once impossible for us to do a smoky eye without looking like a raccoon, but the Smokey Eye Set ($68) made it a cinch. The Professional Brush Set ($162) includes eight brushes on a handy belt that can make anyone feel like a true artist, and we also picked up the vital Brush Cleansing Soap ($8-14), made from vegetable oils.
Makeup and beauty trends? Easy peasy!
