When we first heard of Jules & Eve, we immediately thought of Sex and the City’s Miranda Hobbes. How could we forget about her Tivo-ed obsession with Brit soap opera Jules & Mimi?
In any case, this Jules & Eve refers not to our favourite redhead, but to Kerrisdale’s newest boutique. Owner Sara Au Yeong opened her doors on Saturday, and we flocked to find dresses (from $300) worthy of any New York socialite – with all the accessories to match.
On one wall we found flirty styles by Development, Cynthia Rowley and Vancouver label Lily + Jae; on another, we found Parisian-chic varieties by Tara Jarmon, Tracy Reese and MINT Jodi Arnold. And we mustn’t forget the sexy wonders by local designer Jason Matlo, or the edgy pieces by Twenty8Twelve.
Shoes (from $450) come courtesy of Camilla Skovgaard and celeb fave Ruthie Davis, and we drooled over the lust-worthy arm candy (from $150) by Felix Rey and Angel Jackson. Of course, any Upper East Side look is best topped off with Simply Sublime or Sugarlime jewellery (from $30), and perfect makeup by Stila, Juara, or perfumer Pilar & Lucy.
