We’ve spent many a season perfecting our après ski. Probably because our attempt at the ski part never really worked so well. This year, skiing is a downhill breeze thanks to the Lake Louise Ladies Program.
The Lake Louise Ski and Snowboard School is offering all ski bunnies a money-saver package ($599) that includes bus transportation to and from Lake Louise, lift tickets, lunches and ski lessons for six consecutive Thursdays.
That means we pay $32 per day for the lift ticket -- less than half of the regular price! Plus, we save more than $65 off the cost of the two-hour group lesson, and we’re spared the hassle of driving to and from the hill. (Buses pick up and drop off at locations around Calgary.)
We can choose smaller packages, too, like lessons and lift tickets without transportation ($340) and lessons only ($150). If we get six girlfriends together we’ll have enough for our own group lesson.
The program runs Jan.8 – Feb.12. Take note: no refunds are available for extreme weather conditions, although we can use the lift tickets any day before April 27, 2009.
Did we mention the wine and cheese reception to toast our polished ski skills at the end of the program?
Now that’s worth at least a couple sore muscles and a bruise or two…
