We love putting out our best dinnerware and accessories when we throw a dinner party. But every time the candles are lit and the doorbell rings, our gaze lingers on the table, convinced that an ever-elusive detail is missing (OK, so we’re total perfectionists).
While we haven’t quite figured out what it is, we now know where to look for inspiration.
Tasteful, sleek and elegant are just some of the adjectives that came to mind as we entered À table tout le monde. Set against a backdrop of stone walls, glass shelves and wood counters, this gorgeous shop showcases kitchen décor crafted from all five continents.
Our initial glance landed on the wooden Keyaki Bowls ($51-$94) from Japan’s Kihachi Studio, and moved onto the frosted glass Sugahara Carafé & Glasses ($30-$64). The Louise Bousquet Textured Vase ($86) gave us a taste of local design, and New Zealand’s Purple South Wooden Fruit Pedestal ($195) completely seduced us. However, it was the Three-Legged Lady Marmalade Pot ($125) by Jorine Oosterhoff that ultimately captured our heart.
Now that we know where to find it, that missing detail is just within reach…the question remaining is, how many can we get away with?
