We would have used any old stick of soap... back when we were too young to know better.
Now those basic bars have been left behind with our Barbies, hair wraps and security blankets (but we'll always play dress up).
Enter Enigma Soap & Bath, which we stumbled upon during a recent shopping excursion (drawn in by the fresh scents radiating nearby).
Husband and wife team Rob Carmichael and Zehra Trncic-Cedar make everything in town with quality oils and ingredients (and keep out animal fats, phosphates, sulfates or detergents). We just know it translates to silky smooth and hydrated skin – despite our harsh mountain climate.
We happily rub-a-dub-dubbed with luscious bars like Yuzu Grapefruit ($5), Pink Magic ($5), Shae Loves Me ($6) and the signature Enigma bar ($5), which is now a fun combination of all of the fruit essences currently used in Enigma’s soaps.
The line also includes detergent-free liquid soaps ($10) and coarse sea salt bath crystals ($10) imported from Israel.
