But us? We're proud of our age and not afraid to show it off. So where are the paparazzi when you need them?
Rather than leave our photo-ops to the amateurs (or Glamour Shots), we're embracing our beauty the Sundari way. Sanskrit for "beautiful woman," it's exactly how photographer Helen Tansey makes us feel with her Sundari Women photography packages ($300).
After prepping with a professional hair and makeup artist (take that, celebrities) we put ourselves in Helen's hands. Striking pose after pose, we proudly show off our (hard-earned) laugh lines, trusting her genius to take care of the rest. After the shoot, Helen presents us with a CD full of images, and we simply choose from the 5 X 7 ($9) or 8 X 10 ($13) sizes, and scoop up enough to show off to all our friends and family.
And because photos like this are too good not to share, we're rounding up our closest friends for one of Helen's photo party packages (from $300 to $500). With a bottle of wine, some food and some mood music, we're working it like we've never worked it before.
