Story: We drove to the Toronto airport, Matt was flying home to Seattle. I drove away teary eyed and received a txt “Can I give you a reason turn around? Open your glove box!” Where I discover an empty ring box, “This time will you turn around?” Immediately I turn around to find Matt where I left him, on one knee!

Story: So much for an emergency at our business, my husband had it all planned. We passed thru my old hometown & stopped at a pullout to use the restroom (or so I thought). My favorite waterfalls where here and so my husband casually suggested a walk up to the falls. We walked to the base of the falls where my parents were waiting anxiously. He went on one knee, read a beautiful poem he wrote and gave me the most unbelieveable ring. My mom brought cheese/champagne to celebrate - good thing I said yes!

Story: The local country station was having a Sadie Hawkins day promo and wanted ladies to call in and ask men out. I took it one step farther and proposed to my boyfriend on the radio. The station loved it the paper even printed it and my boyfriend said "Yes".Its now been over thirteen years of marriage and our kids, friends, and family still love the story, and I still love my husband!

Story: The night before I left on a five day canoe trip with my girlfriends,I had given my boyfriend the old "if you don't know after 5 years whether you want to marry me, then set me free" speech. On the fifth morning of the trip, I was in the middle of the lake collecting some drinking water when a float landed and pulled up to our site. Out strutted my boyfriend with steaming hot Starbucks lattes for the four of us... and a proposal and sparkling ring for me! It was well worth the wait!

Story: My husband's proposal came on Christmas Day, when there were no "Big" box presents underneath the tree for me. So I was pouting like a little kid, thinking he was playing a joke on me. So after my endless prodding and probing, he couldn't hold it anymore and told me to look in the tree for an ornament that looked like a little gift box. I found it, and I could feel my excitement brewing. I opened the little box to reveal a single diamond ring. Then, he dropped to on one knee and proposed!

Story: On Valentine's day 2009, I was going to help my friend with a photoshoot at an art gallery (I love and study art). At one point, he asked me to move a rather large box with flyers on top that was in the way. I tried, but it didn't move, so I took the top off of it and to my surprise, my boyfriend was hiding inside with roses and the most beautiful ring. I was completely surprised! Here is the footage my friend had been secretly filming the whole time. www.vimeo.com/3219724

Story: Southbeach Miami; August 2005 We stood on the beach watching the "tropical storm" approach. We stood there clad in bathing suits and rain slickers; pelted by the heavy rain, wind and sand. We both looked into the very dark distance and watched as the sky grew dark and the huge waves churned grey and foamy. We felt like we were the only two people left in world, and we were ok with that. That's when he proposed. That's when i said "YES". >

Story: We are both musicians and were on tour together in Normandy, France. I know what you're thinking...I got engaged in Paris at the top of the Eiffel Tower and it was magical....not quite! We were in the hallway of our hotel, I was in tears from a misunderstanding we'd just had...and he said, 'Honey, I know we'll have problems but let’s face them together' and got down on one knee with a ring. It was more magical and special to me than if we had been in Paris.

Story: My boyfriend recently pulled the most romantic Blogger Engagement ever! Knowing how much I love to bake and what an avid follower I am of Bakerella.com, he became "besties" with her to create a "Wedding Cake Pops" Proposal. When I checked Bakerella's blog on Sunday night, there was the proposal. As I scrolled down the page, "Will you marry me Melissa?" was written on tags attached to the sticks of five cake pops! Story: I had never been out to Halifax before but 2 years ago my husband and I decided to pack up our car and move there for an adventure. We found a beautiful home to rent with a large deck overhanging the ocean bay. A few days later was my 23rd birthday. Nick had carefully planned a day full of 23 of my favourite things. The day ended with a romantic dance to "Unchained Melody" on the deck filled with blue lights, a dozen peach roses, and finally the ring. Then it started to snow for the 1st time.
