A Taste of Tastemakers

TIFF isn't just a time for movie premieres and after-hours parties, it's also a place for swag.

And the Tastemakers Celebrity Gifting Lounge is one of the prime places to find it. Now in its 5th year, these guys curate a host of cool stuff to gift celebrities (and donate to its official charity, War Child Canada) - and we make sure the sweet finds stay on our radar.

The Croma-designed space in the Intercontinental Hotel has been abuzz with visits from the likes of Dorian Gray's Colin Firth and Ben Barnes, local boy Eric McCormack, Defendor's Woody Harrelson, Kat Dennings and Kristin Booth and more.

Look for some of them and more in photo journalist Rosie Levine's upcoming book, Celebrity Encounters of the Peace-ful Find, where she shares her snaps of celebs flashing the iconic, two-fingered peace.

	Jonesin' for Joe Fresh Beauty Admittedly, we're big fans but this touch-up station is one sweet spot before an interview. We loved the marker-like ease of the liquid liner ($6) and creamy cheek tint ($4) that makes experimenting with colour easy. www.joe.ca/en/beauty

	Making Room for Mattel Remember nestling in for games night? We didn't either but with options like Apples to Apples, Blokus and the new, electronic update, Pictionary Man we're thinking a night in sounds more than nice. www.mattelgameon.ca
