Andy The-Anh has always been a highlight of fashion week, so we expected nothing less of his spring/summer 2010 collection.
However, things got off to a less than perfect start when 100+ media, industry and VIP guests were shuffled into a way-too-small space with standing room only. Looking around the room at many very confused (and unimpressed) faces meant that Andy's line would have to be his best yet, to allow him out of this situation unscathed.
When his first look hit the runway, I almost forgot that I was squished in a very small room or that my feet absolutely hated me for standing. The bright colours and feminine silhouettes were spring weather perfection. It started with a series of royal blue and white hued pieces, with a royal blue motorcycle-ish jacket becoming a quick favourite.
When Andy's formal wear made it's entrance, it elicited a series of oooh's and ahhh's from the crowd. Gorgeous pieces that I could tell would flatter all.
Lucky Andy, crisis averted.
