If diamonds are forever, then jewel-tones are a spring (2010) fling; at least when it comes to Rain Anthology's latest collection.
The bright hues that made up the line were a nice break from the all-black outfits of the fall fashion crowd, especially with the bold bandanna-esque prints that held strong throughout the show. A standout piece for me was a silk jewel-toned blue dress with diagonal ruffle detailing, a red floor-length dress with a fitted bodice and scooped back and a pair of silky white dress shorts.
The collection--with its look-at-me colours and nipple-bearing fabrics--didn't scream "ready-to-wear" for me, especially if I plan to dip into my swag bag anytime soon (hello chocolate, coffee and sinfully delicious looking cookbook). But I did leave the show inspired to add some colour into my basic black and gray wardrobe.
