AIME designer Monica Mei showcased her Mediterranean-inspired collection to an audience that included Jeanne Beker and designer Evan Biddell.
The line reflected easy living with frills, linen and floral prints. Gold accents were used to contrast bold patterns, and neutral-looking outfits drew attention through colour and pattern. Airy dresses were pulled in at the waist by wide, black elastic belts and accentuated by ruffles.
The purple mini skirt and metallic short shorts would look great on a warm spring day (after some serious time on the Stairmaster). And what wardrobe is complete without a LBD? (Especially when it's complemented by a fringed rope belt!)
The pencil skirt was a staple piece in the collection--but in varying forms. One look was long and black with scoop pockets, another was a deep purple with frills along the top and lastly, a white, high-waisted creation with a ruffled bottom.
AIME is made from all-natural and sustainable materials such as bamboo, silk and organic cotton. We appreciate this environmentally-friendly designer with a taste for beautiful things.
