Cheri Milaney showed off her Piacere Spring 2010 collection with a wearability factor that was off the charts.

Contrasting between the concreteness of the urban life and the pureness of nature, fabric was draped, ruched, gathered, and highlighted by unique details like seaming and beading on organza ribbon. A neutral colour palette of black, white, cream, mocha and sand was interjected with lime, rose, teal, pink and purple.

Transparent chiffon and ultra-fine knits were present in the black and white ruched kimono tunic and black sweater vest (think more open-concept and less Chandler Bing).

Milaney presented a transition from professional models to “role models” who included Tonya Lee Williams from The Young and the Restless and singer/songwriter Amy Sky who wore a lavender dress with a matching chiffon scarf.

Piacere will be available in better boutiques across Canada in late February 2010.
