If I thought there was going to be a highlight of fashion week for me, I would've thought it came and went with last night's shows (Pink Tartan and Joe Fresh have always been a favourite). This year, I was pleasantly surprised with two standout collections on Thursday night.
NADA, from designer Nada Shepherd, was first and right away appealed to my rebel within. The collection channeled Madonna, circa 1985, and I couldn't have been happier about it. Lace ruled the runway in everything from sheer tops, to tights, to overlay on dresses. Accessorized with beautiful pieces from Shay Lowe, the looks were the perfect mix of rock and glam. I loved the white and black tank wrap dress, and the baby pink sweetheart necked strapless dress. Picking favourites was a hard one at this show, as every look that came down the runway seemed to top the last. I have to say, I think NADA just moved to the top of my fashion week list.
