The second in a series of standout Thursday night shows, Romona Keveza wowed the crowd with cocktail dresses, evening gowns and a long series (maybe a bit too long) of bridal couture. Her take on glamour reminded all of us why we are so lucky to be ladies (and might have made the men in the audience jealous there wasn't anything for them).
Her collection was clearly that of a major benchmark, and after finding out this was Romona's 10th anniversary collection, it all made sense. Everything was taken up a notch, from the jewellery (by Rebekah Price) to the fabrics and cuts, Romona hit this one way out of the park.
To pick a favourite, would be almost impossible. Each dress flattered and flowed exactly as it should. Whether it was black, purple, baby pink or mint green, Romona made excellent use of colour and cut to make each piece absolute perfection. Her detailing (ruched tulle, buttons, flower embellishments or simple sparkles) was the craftsmanship of a true artist.
The Eat My Words cupcake she left for the front row guests didn't hurt either.
