The first look of Frame's spring/summer 2010 collection was a silk chiffon and leather dress in off white with black Arabic letters, and it easily set the tone for the rest of the show. Black, white, dark blue, gray and silver were the main colours in this colour palette. It’s not exactly what comes to mind when we think spring (especially with the heavy use of wool) but the silk chiffon and satin were an encouraging reminder of warmer weather.
Some stand out pieces were a dark blue gradient trouser that was wrapped and tied at the ankle (US $120) and a delicate silver and pink silk chiffon and sequined dress (US $500).
Frame is a creative partnership between Stephen Frame and Yasmin Mahrous that merges modern Middle East with Western influences. They decided to show their first commercial collection at LG Fashion Week.
