The crowds started pouring out for Andy The-Anh's return to the runway. (Last season's presentation-style show was still a great collection, just hard to see.)
He opened with a black brushed fur hooded coat (and a couple of male models toting title sponsor Rimowa suitcases), belted for added definition. Dark shades continued to be sent down in the classic looks that Andy's known for. Oftentimes the folding, tucking and pleating of excess fabric created a diversion for the eye in the most interesting way.
And while there were a couple of instances that felt a little too busy and like a taffeta-sateen overload (the models might not mind that much attention at their hips but most woman would), there were far more amazing pieces. I loved the little black dress with a vest-front and sexy side slit and see the grey exaggerated-collar pea coat making the fall transition easy.
