As soon as the lights dimmed and the DJ cranked the instrumental version of Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing, I knew we were in for something good (Hey, I’m a sucker for cheesy 80s songs, don’t judge).
But how could a fashion show featuring old-school knits, thick, patterned thigh-high leg warmers, wooly bloomers and horn-rimmed glasses be so chic? Well, the preloved collection proved that once again, it’s hip to be square.
Seemingly borrowed straight from the closets of prim, English boarding school boys, these achingly cool looks made me long for those crisp, first days of school when buying three-ring binders and pencil sets meant you were about to embark on a fresh start.
The only difference is that at this school, the nerds clearly rule.
