With the first runway look from Saniya Khan, we were instantly transported. Drawing on inspiration from her ancestral roots in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Persia, the designer showcased her ethnic-inspired pieces, which were luxurious, exotic and completely enchanting. Models were sophisticatedly wrapped in swaths of velvet, ornamented with silver and gold beading, and draped in flowing, raw silk tunics and fur trimming. Washed-out earthy tones were punctuated with bright burnt orange and a soft grey. The models' looks were completed with windswept hair, resembling a birds’ nest, reminding us of nomads.

We loved the long grey silk shirt with green with gold details, over a sleek, black silk skirt. And the velvet jackets and capes in colours that popped against the otherwise neutral palate were elegant and ultra feminine. The line had the perfect balance of smart lines with unique touches, creating a memorable collection.
