Attitude by Sears began with clips from the film Mildred Pierce, setting the stage for a collection inspired by the strong, feminine lines of 1940s fashion. Pencil skirts created a slim silhouette, elongated by lace turtlenecks, and paired with well-tailored blazers. Waists were cinched with skinny belts in metallic crimson and black patent leather. The looks were feminine, hugging the curves of the models, but powerful, thanks to the unique tailoring and exaggerated shoulders.

Favourites from the line were the camel coats and a cape with chocolate brown leather trim, and a silk blouse in a bird print that Hitchcock himself would have deemed perfectly quirky. The intimates collection, which is new to the line this season, also left a lasting impression. The models sauntered down the runway in luxurious silks, with sheer lounge coats floating gracefully behind them. To end the show, Joannie Rochette (Canada's 2010 Olympic bronze medalist) walked the catwalk, and was almost unrecognizable out of her glitzy skating garb, but looked regal in a white blouse, gathered at the neckline, made edgy with the line’s standout patent leather, elbow-length gloves – a look we can’t wait to get our hands on, or rather, in.
