With a restless crowd (it was almost 10:30pm, when Bustle was supposed to begin at 9:30pm), the first model out at the final show of LG Fashion Week had a tough task. Get the crowd's attention, make them forget the show is starting an hour late, and make everyone have a good time. After Robin Kay said her piece (which went on a little too long), the lights dimmed and it was go-time.
The menswear line did not disappoint. Always a great collection, Shawn Hewson and Ruth Promislow know how to make a man look good, and they definitely did it again. Fitted suits, blazers, trousers and jackets showed themselves off on a line-up of manly male models. There was even a couple things thrown in for the ladies, like a belted short trench or a man's vest (preferably with a shirt underneath for the general population).
After all was said and done, Jeanne Beker, Stacy McKenzie (in really short shorts - which, apparently were chopped by Shawn right before the show), Evan Biddell and Jie got up from their gold couch perched at the top of the runway and gave the catwalk at the Allstream Centre one last strut.
Until October, that's a wrap.
