LOVAS Wesley Badanjak's signature tailoring was definitely present in his spring 2011 collection, but his take on evening wear also produced showstopping results.
The colour palette was inspired by the periodic table (evident in the collection's title Elemental) and consisted of silvers, greys and black, highlighted with shots of citron and fuchsia.
The show opened with a hot pink sexy princess gown and was followed by a flock of coral-coloured cocktail dresses. Every piece either kept-to or fell-away from the models' bodies in all the right ways, pointing towards Badanjak's tailoring skills.
Even though it seemed like it was cocktail hour at LOVAS, simple day suits made an appearance, too. A favourite was definitely the stretch cotton swing coat with big white chunky buttons but the real stars of the show were the painted sequin dresses — the material looked like a shiny stormy sky, all rippling black, grey and silver with each step the model took.
