I have to be totally, 100 per cent honest. I have a huge crush on Sunny Fong.
And my crush only developed into a more serious love after seeing his resort collection and his spring/summer 2012 collection last night at LG Fashion Week. It was the first time Sunny showed two collections and it was definitely much more than we bargained for.
The resort collection was only a few looks, but they packed a big punch. Black chiffon gowns with intricately cut gold bodices wowed the crowds. I don't know how they looked from the back of the room, but seeing those details up close was just flabbergasting.
The spring/summer collection combined flirty floor-length dresses with structured pants and vests. With soft hues of peach, blush, beige and gold, it was the perfect ode to the warm weather.
Peek-a-boo dresses ran throughout both collections giving them a real sense of unity. The were sexy and classy all at the same time.
Which all means just one thing: we can expect quite a few Sunny days in spring 2012.
