Golnaz Ashtiani, Caitlin Power, Mélissa Nepton and Krane at Toronto Fashion Week
See all of our Toronto Fashion Week runway reports.
Thursday afternoon was all about the girls at Toronto Fashion Week — until Krane brought the boys out of hiding.
Designer Ken Chow’s collection revolved around slim-fitting shorts and unstructured shirt combos paired with lightweight jackets and bags. It was a cool geek takeover thanks to quirky suspenders and glasses, and we couldn't help but fall for a few nerds.
Mélissa Nepton's sexy desert safari theme had us longing for sun-kissed skin. Her black and cream cover-ups, cascading blouses, and wrap dresses with pretty peach accents had us coveting our own wild adventure.
We also witnessed two stylish yet completely wearable collections during the combined Ashtiani and Caitlin Power show. Designer Golnaz Ashtiani sent models floating down the runway in draping gowns, clean-cut trousers, and light grey blazers, accented with pops of soft coral, while Caitlin Power fused together structured tailoring, diamond-shaped cutouts and bold colour blocking for a futuristic vibe.
With such sassy looks, we're torn between choosing outfits for work and dressing for warm, dreamy days outdoors.
