Denis Gagnon Looks 1 & 2

See all of our Toronto Fashion Week runway reports.

Fashion week came to a close with Denis Gagnon's collection for spring 2012, but not before he previewed a long 15-minute short film.

The film, which gave a little glimpse of the pieces, was moody and dramatic, a far cry from the outburst of cheer that erupted as models took to the runway as a group and pranced along, all smiles, some even waving to the audience.

The collection was an interesting mix of dominatrix-style leather bralettes, satin pleating, a sweet mini floral print and tuxedo-style suits with shorts. A clash of sweet and sexy.

Like other collections we'd seen that night, black and white reigned supreme, but gave prominence to the bright red and floral print.

The show ended with wedding wear: a cream blouse dress, worn with a lederhosen-style leather body piece and a chic sleeveless tuxedo jumper.

Along with some amazing pieces we have our eyes on (Hello, white mini skirt with cute floral pockets peeping through), we couldn't get enough of the beauty on the runway. Gorgeous orange lips lit up the models faces, and soft, natural blowouts, pulled into loose pony tails had models looking fresh and youthful.

It was a sweet way to end a great fashion week.
