Who: Denis Gagnon

Describe your collection in one sentence: 
The clothes are comfortable and accessible to all women, of all ages, with lots more colour than I usually have; reds, pinks, beiges and golds. 

How long did the collection take, from idea to runway? 
It took me a month and a half to make the collection. And I did the entire thing by myself, from “A” to “Z.” It’s so much work, so intense, but I love to sew and create! I need to see the clothes moving on a woman, to imagine how they would look on the runway. I’m inspired by the feminine silhouette. 

One must have item for Spring:
Dresses! This collection is nothing but dresses. Different materials, different textures.

Biggest fashion crime you've seen: When people try too hard to be trendy: They become a fashion victim. Don’t lose your personality in your clothing, be yourself. Only wear what you can wear with confidence. 

If you weren't a fashion designer, what would you be? 
I could see myself as a sculptor, a painter, maybe a photographer. It would definitely have to be something in the creative realm.
