Launching her sixth collection, From Earth to Air, we lucky ducks got a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Mellinda-Mae Harlingten in action. Amidst the lightshow of flashing bulbs and the flurry of press, the designer calmly adjusts, inspects and perfects each model’s look. As the models are marched down a makeshift runway, eyes from around the room can't help but be drawn to the romantic blend of boho-chic beauty among the many pieces. The MMH collection is contemporary women's clothing that has a youthful elegance and timeless style, made to mix and match for any occasion.
What is your one must have for Spring?
Cropped denim jacket.
What is the biggest fashion crime you've seen lately?
Pants that are too short!! Wide legs and boot/bells in particular!
How long did the collection take, from idea to runway?
6 months.
If you weren't a fashion designer, what would you be?
Dancing is one of my biggest passions. So I would have to say a dancer
