We've been waiting all week (actually, since hearing about his show at Montreal Fashion Week) for this collection - and we weren't disappointed. From music by electro-violinist Dr. Draw (playing everything from Paint it Black to Teen Spirit) to the multi-model choreographed walks down the runway - this was a show. Intricate brooches (made by the designer) adorned old Hollywood glamour-inspired pieces like an open-backed black dress and would be perfect to take any dress from simple to stunning. Dresses really are ruling the runways (instant outfits, it makes sense) but there was still room for structured suits, sheer gauze-like skirts and even another jumpsuit (the romper's older cousin?). Even when pieces went somewhat Jetson space age, the collection as a whole was a stand-out winner. Other favourites included sweeping, lightweight long dresses (and front row's Stacey McKenzie ecstatic cheering for one or two favoured models).
