The Ryerson School of Fashion Graduates show was our opportunity to scope out some of tomorrow's fashion stars before they become big names. Sure enough, the collections were bold, beautiful and definitely left a lasting impression.
Kat Marks

Inspired by Kurt Vonnegut, Marks' work proved to be the most fantastical of the bunch. With hyperbolic plush collars and plastic (Fritz Lang's Metropolis-esque) bodice pieces, each look had us sitting up and taking notice. Best piece? An elaborate gown with gold wings perched on the model's shoulders. Wow.
Dayna Phillips

With moody purples and rubber studs emerging from pretty much anywhere you can imagine (most notably on the back of a blazer), this collection was dark and romantic with a rock and roll edge.
David Chou

Chou made well-cut blazers and chic cigarette pants his own with ruffles and ruching. We loved the palette of plum and navy, and a gorgeous shantung wrap dress was an instant favourite.
Sarah Duke

A warm and fuzzy menswear collection with red thread basting worked through blazers, massive ties, oversize collars and cropped shirts. This was definitely a parade of texture.
Heidi Ackermen

Heads up -- based on what we've seen this year, huge knits are going to be, well, huge. This knitwear collection featured long knit dresses and sweaters in thick mauve and pink wools.
Sidney Holloway

Closing the show was Holloway's classic and elegant collection. Using metallics, silks and furs, the line was stunning (and we adored the fur cape in this picture).
