We love new products, trends and tips but ever wondered about wearing them in real life? Each week we’ll take on a test drive, from the newest nail colour, to playing with perfume or seeing how long that hairstyle actually takes and share what we find (sweet, not-so-sweet and everything in between).
The inspiration: Do scents come down to personal preference, or will one stand the test of smell and earn a coveted spot on our vanity?

If purple had a smell, this is what it would be. A little green grass-y with fresh, spring-like flowery notes. |
I actually really liked this one. It was light and reminded me of a spring. |
A little too strong for my taste. I did pick up on the really unique scent of blood orange. |

I’m pretty sure real daisies don’t have a smell, but this sure does. Floral overdrive. |
Thought this one would be my favourite, but was too strong for me (One spritz max!). |
Daisy had a nice light scent, good for everyday wear. I also loved the bottle. |
Balenciaga

A quick bottle sniff reminded me of my great-aunt's bedroom. But once on the skin it was quite light, powdery and (surprisingly) my favourite. |
This one was a surprise favourite for me. It was fresh, which wasn't what I expected. |
I liked the Balenciaga best. The notes of violet made for a sweet, light scent, that really grew on me over time. |

A little creamy, a bit musky and subtly floral, this one felt very French and ladylike. Two wrists up! |
Out of the bottle, this one smelled a little old for me, but on my skin, it took on a new scent. I felt it became lighter and younger. . |
If you like citrus this would be an ideal pick. It was refreshing and not over powering. |
