We love new products, trends and tips but ever wondered about wearing them in real life? Each week we’ll take on a test drive, from the newest nail colour, to playing with perfume or seeing how long that hairstyle actually takes and share what we find (sweet, not-so-sweet and everything in between).
The inspiration: Three top brands launched new technology to improve comfort through all types of motion, so we took to the streets to see just how adaptable they are under the pressure of our feet.
The testers: Sam Speisman, Mia Shulman and Sari Little (our sweetspot.ca Marketing Manager)

Nike LunarElites tested by Sam
These running shoes changed my workout. Before them, I was having knee pains from running, and felt my calves tense up with each step. Now, I can run farther and faster with no joint or muscle pain. I didn't get blisters (even though they were new), which is a first for any type of athletic shoe I've had in the past.

Brooks Glycerin 8 tested by Mia
Featuring Brooks' new DNA technology, the support adapts to your movement, offering the perfect balance of cushion and resiliency. They were soft and comfortable when walking (they didn't have that stiff, gotta-wear-them-in feel) and I was pleasantly surprised by the arch and ankle support they provided during my run. Plus, they feature BioMoGo, the world's first biodegradable midsole!

adidas Supernova Glide tested by Sari
The style was super cute and I was a big fan of the mesh around the toe which helped keep my feet cool as I ran. If you're looking for a lot of cushioning, these are the runners for you! They lessened the impact on my knees and I was impressed by the shock absorption. Still, I personally need a little more support, especially around the ankles.
