We love new products, trends and tips but ever wondered about wearing them in real life? Each week we’ll take on a test drive, from the newest nail colour, to playing with perfume or seeing how long that hairstyle actually takes and share what we find (sweet, not-so-sweet and everything in between).

Mascara A
Brett thought: The spiraled brush had me questioning whether it would separate my lashes, but it's thin size made it really easy to cover each lash and get into the corners of my eyes. The consistency of the mascara was wet, not clumpy, and was easy to wash off.
Laura thought: This one didn't make a big impact on me. I like a bigger brush and expect a little more volume. The consistency was light, not chunky, which was good, but I'd opt for more than one coat for a desired effect.
Samantha thought: The brush looked pretty thin but it went on nicely. I wish it had made my lashes look a little thicker, but I liked the deep black colour it gave. It stayed on well but required makeup remover to wash off.

Ready for the big reveal? Mascara A was the classic, drug store favourite Maybelline.
Maybelline Great Lash, $6. Available at most major drug stores.
