The inspiration: It's no secret we have a full-fledged addiction to nail polish, but it's time to come clean about what we're hiding under all those pretty colours. Mia's yellow nails have "chain smoker" written all over them — in spite of the fact that she never touches cigarettes — and Sam's brittle nails make her an ideal candidate for calcium supplements. Enter Essie's Grow Faster nail treatment. Our testers applied the treatment once and waited the recommended five days to see if their nails grew in length and strength.

The results:
Mia: I started wearing nail polish to kick a nail-biting habit and now my nails are badly discoloured. I never go a day without polish because I don't want anyone to see what lies beneath... it's a vicious cycle. After five days of using Grow Faster, my nails had grown considerably (we're talking acrylic-style length!).
Sam: I do have an addiction to polish, but I usually refrain from using colour on my nails since it always seems to chip so quickly. I loved the shine the Essie treatment gave my nails, but I found that my nails were more susceptible to breakage during the five-day period (which might just have been the result of a rough week for my hands). If you're looking for a magic fix, I'm not sure this is it, but I do believe that over time Grow Faster would help your nails grow (and look pretty in the process).
