We love new products, trends and tips but ever wondered about wearing them in real life? Each week we’ll take on a test drive, from the newest nail colour, to playing with perfume or seeing how long that hairstyle actually takes and share what we find (sweet, not-so-sweet and everything in between).

The Details
We had our assistant editor Mia Shulman test anti-cellulite leggings for three weeks. See how they measured up!
The inspiration: Because I'm overly confident when it comes to making resolutions to eat well and get in better shape in the new year, I've also become overly pragmatic and realize a backup plan never hurts. I know looking and feeling good comes from a healthy diet and lots of exercise, but if I could banish cellulite in a matter of weeks, simply by wearing a pair of black leggings, I figured, what's the harm in trying?
The product:
Scala Shaper Leggings Bio Promise Anti Cellulite, $80. Available at www.scalabioceramic.com.
Mia's initial thoughts:
This test lab was going to be a dream. I could spend two weeks in leggings all in the name of research. If they happened to slim my figure and cure my cellulite in the process? Win/win!
The leggings are made from a material called Bio Fir which heats the skin and increases the metabolism of cells, increasing blood flow and oxygen. This in turn produces a smoother, more even appearance of skin.
The moment I put on the leggings, I knew I was going to fall deeply and madly in love with them. They had amazing stretch, a waistline that didn't pinch and were deep black. A solid black. You know those leggings that become see through when stretched over skin? These leggings were not like those leggings (whew!).
