Are Burger joints the teenies version of the 90’s Pita shop?
A recent stroll down Queen East had us thinking so.
Not sure when this shift occurred but on many major intersections in Toronto, we are seeing burger joints popping up like wildfire. Remember the pita trend back in the 1990’s? Culturites are all for this resurgence because after all, burgers, although much less healthy than stuffed pitas, are obviously much more delicious.
Some of our favourites:
Craft Burger, 573 King St. W, 416-596-6660
The Burger Shoppe, 688 Queen St. E., 416-850-7026
Gourmet Burger Co., 482 Parliament St., 647-344-5103
Bam Burger, 2112 Yonge St., 416-487-2420
Up next…hot dogs?
P.S. If you haven’t already, get yourself to College Street's new Cinq01 for the foie gras hot dog. DREAMY! Culturites also love Buddha Dog on Roncesvalles.
