The House Party definitely played a supporting role for a time when bottle service and red carpets were de rigueur dominating the social circuit, but a good ol' fashioned house party has made a resurgence as of late…and we’re proud to say it’s back…and it’s bigger than ever.
Our observation? People want substance more than razzle dazzle in their nights out. The hipster bars in NYC and LA are more down-home than South Beach (please no more sparklers or bottle service!). In addition, statistics show that more people are entertaining at home than ever before.
In December, The Society and Wiser’s Canadian Whiskey took over a downtown bachelor pad to throw the bender of all benders. Think jeans, plaid, trucker hats, bumping dance floor, noise complaints…the whole bit! In fact, it was so much fun that instead of a champagne clinking cocktail party to toast Ashleigh’s upcoming nuptials, we threw an engagement kegger in February.

Let’s let our hair down people! If you’re contemplating throwing an event and unsure what direction to take…throw a house party! Focus on the essentials: good people, good music, dim lights, delicious cocktails and cold beer…you can’t go wrong!
