I don’t know about you, but I didn’t grow up around boats. At a stretch, you could say I’m a canoeist (and that would be quite the yogic contortion). There is a canoe in the backyard at my in-laws; it mostly stays chained to the fence post.
However, I love being out on the water even though I’m not a good swimmer. For some people, boating is as natural as breathing. I suppose it’s a lifestyle thing, one that I just hadn't been a part of very often. Interestingly enough, since I started this job, I think I’ve been on at least three boats in the last year. And. I. Love. It.

One such event was about two weeks ago, for the maiden voyage of the new Belvu Croisière-Boutique. With the intention of making luxury accessible to everyone, Belvu is offering a unique cruise experience designed to be different from the mundane, because you set the tone.

With three decks and patios, there is a way to custom-create the event that you’re looking for. After a 5@7? There’s a DJ at the ready, along with some pretty fancy cocktails and good wine selection. Lunch or dinner? Their gourmet chefs will set you up with local cuisine. Birthday parties, anniversaries, whatever. It will even turn into a nightclub.

And don’t worry, if you’re the motion-sickness type, you don’t actually have to leave the dock. Sweetmamas will find something to enjoy as well, as the boat opens to children on Sundays until 8pm. Free entry for a child under 12 accompanied by an adult.
If you need convincing, why not try the free 45-minute cruise on Friday afternoons until 7:30pm? We may just bump into each other...
Thought that was sweet? You'll enjoy:
