Montreal Musings: spring summer 2012 trends canada, Montreal
(Nov.23.11)
If you were anywhere near the Eaton Centre last Wednesday evening, in particular inside Old Navy, Banana Republic or Gap, then you may have caught a glimpse of eager media folks ogling roped off mannequins and sipping on sparkling vino.
We were there to preview the Spring/Summer 2012 collections, and there was plenty of the usual: tan and beige neutrals, trench coats and florals. But what stood out was the use of colour, colourblocking in particular.

The trend shows no signs of slowing down, and at Old Navy and Banana Republic I found some serious contenders for both my clutch and jewellery collections (get a load of these cuffs).

And as for these dresses… I’m hoping someone will get married or throw a garden party so I can show off this floor-length floral from Banana Republic.
